One of the key components in education is to prepare students for the next phase after high school. Some of the structures that are set in place regarding technology need to be reimaged so that we uphold our commitment to student-centered learning. As an AVID Demonstration school, we center our learning on the development of soft skills that will prepare students for success in college, career, and life. In the current format, we strive to develop 21st-century skills and mold students who are self-driven, self-aware, goal oriented, and engaged in their learning; however, the traditional school format doesn’t always lend itself to such expectations. I believe the solution is that we provide students the opportunity to develop skills with less restrictive opportunities via blended learning. Below is my proposal of how we can enhance the Coble Middle School educational experience with blended learning
